Prince Of The Stereo vol.1

Prince Of Stereo is the latest release from Flashy Shalo, a local from North London. Prior to this release Shalo had taken a hiatus from the scene and had kept people waiting for a while including myself. He has now returned with a new look, more hunger and most certainly he has come back with a  bang. Features are kept to a minimum with the only guests being Bigz, Professor Green and Ayo.

This track is called Bohemian Rhapsody it is one of the many bangers on the mixtape.

You'd be silly to sleep on him, to download the mixtape go to http://www.flashyshalo.com/ or follow him on twitter @FlashyShalo

Enjoy

What Ever Happened To?

The other day I was reminiscing  about my past times, and I remembered one of my old ring tones which happened to be Seb Zero - New Step. I used to vibe to that song off my Samsung D900 but like that phone, the song has become a past time memory.

Well enjoy the video and vibe to the new step (well I guess it's an old step now, but you know what I mean).

I'm Better Than You

I have been waiting to hear this tape for a very long time. Stumbled upon his catalogue over the summer, I have been going crazy over his witty punchlines littered all over his freestyles. Listening to the mixtape, whilst I am typing this, the first 10 tracks are something else. To give you a taste of what is on offer, listen to Mickey flowing over Drizzy Drake's 'Light Up'.

PlayStation Game Runners

PlayStation Game Runners is a fresh and innovative project, where people from all walks of life have come together to create social games.
The project which is a brain-child of Sony and Hide & Seek, where 8 people were chosen as game designers to make three games relevant to the public. There were three games Flags, BLOCKS and Hoops, with BLOCKS being selected as it was the most popular game.

BLOCKS is a three-dimensional game of strategy and precision movement. If you are having trouble following, it is basically like a life-sized game of building blocks, and the loser is the first person unable to keep the tower standing, or who runs out of time to make a move.

On Friday 8th October, there will be an open day where anyone can drop in and try BLOCKS, location has not been confirmed, but I for one will be in attendance.  As soon as we get the word, will let you know more, as the event draws closer. Peep the trailer below.Click the Facebook link here for more info.

Crooked Tongues 10th Anniversary BBQ

Footwear store Crooked Tongues yesterday held their summer BBQ to celebrate being in business for 10 years. As a milestone was reached, they pulled out the stops supplying a bottomless bin of free booze and also free chicken provided by Nandos. The event was also sponsored by Reebok and Dickies, and apart from missing out on some hot wings, after the night was over I can say I was shown a good time. Lol. You have to pardon the cheese. Peep some pics from the shindig, below. Shouts to the boy Nate as well.

Highs and Lows x Reebok GL 6000's

Australian retailer Highs and Lows have collaborated with Reebok to celebrate their fifth  anniversary, with their own version of Reebok's GL 6000. I recently have a new level of respect for Reebok, I recently purchased a pair of Black Paris Runners, which are slyly decent if I say so myself. I am not so sure how I can get my hands on these, but they are an impressive pair of kicks.

Show Me A Good Time

Yesterday, my sister and I took a trip down to London KOKO, to see Janelle Monae live. Let me tell you this, the show was amazing, her vocal range, dancing skills, (that 'Tightrope' stuff is something else), her energy amongst other things made it one of the best shows I have ever been to. KOKO was packed to the rafters and the crowd were in fine voice much like Ms Monae herself.

British rockers Wolf Gang, were the opening act and were very impressive, a lot of sing-alongs and toe-tappers in their catalogue, all in all they performed  seven tracks and I  was not eagerly anticipating their exit. Some annoying little trick that insisted on speaking, singing and screaming like Janelle Monae after the show was not enough to ruin a great night.

Almost Wrote You A Love Song (Remix)

'Honeychild' put me on to this one, well the original anyway, respectfully I have waited till she puts the song up. The remix or alternate version, is taken from Big Sean's third mixtape, Finally Famous 3: BIG, which has just recently dropped, I will be posting the DL link for the mixtape in the near future. Big Sean is signed to Kanye West's label imprint G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam and is scheduled to drop his debut album, Finally Famous, at the end of the year.

Suai's concept and lyrics are actually beautiful, like seriously. Sean does flow nicely and producer Key Wane provides some tweaks in the form of more 808 drums. Serious tune, all of you folk have to get involved.
