Back To School

School starts next week for most, and I was just thinking of a few things about my experience of secondary school. True stories by the way:
  • Wallabies being the shoe every boy was on (even girls, you should be pissed looking back) I was not involved. Didn't feel them.
  • Hating Kickers shoes, too much hype. Can't go wrong with Ravel & Barratts.
  • I remember them bright NBA Champion Jackets. Had a Orlando Magic one myself. Long time ago lol.
  • Writing in your books for the first time.
  • Waiting 3 months before my loafers started leaning to one side. And there would be bare rocks in my shoes. Bare.
Not eating lunch, going to the ice cream van and buying Strawberry Jelly & Ice Cream Panda Pops (where are they now?) and kicking ball. Everyday day, without fail.

What do you think of when you think of school?

Successful

Finally, the second video of Drake's So Far Gone mixtape/EP, 'Successful' is here. I like the dark, eerie vibe, feeling it a lot more than 'Best I Ever Had'.

This particular version of the track, is the one that appears on Trey Songz's new album 'Ready', which actually came out today.

A physical EP of So Far Gone is set for release, Sep. 15th (U.S.) no date as of yet for a release in the UK.

Nu World, thoughts on the video?

I was browsing the net, when I came across Google's tribute to Michael Jackson so I thought I would post and share it with everyone. Today would have been his 51st birthday. His name, his music and legacy shall live on forever...

Straight From The Soul

Jesse Boykins III you probably haven’t heard of him, neither had I till my good friend (evaeve3 aka young spice) enlightened me of this young man’s talent. Just to bring you up to speed he is a soul artist who currently resides in Brooklyn but was born in Chicago, then moved Jamaica as child and returned back to Miami several years later.

He is currently signed to an independent label called Nomadic Music, with whom he released a 15 track LP called the "The Beauty Created".

Ladies, Gentleman, Nu World When i first heard the live percussion, I thought i was going to be listening to Dwele, Raheem Devaughn or Musiq Soulchild lace a soulful beat as they do with such skill effortlesly. I then was greeted with voice, a tone and a sound i had not heard before which persuaded me not to hear but to listen. After the first verse he had me won me over, his sound is timeless at 24 years of age i feel he's far from being branded a rough diamond and not to far from being the finshed article, check his track I’ve posted and let me know what you think. The track is called “Amorous” and it’s off “The Beauty Created” if you love soul I’m sure you’ll love him.

When Porter Meets Adidas

Adidas originals have released a series of exclusive kicks under the title "the five-two-3 pack", Adidas have collaborated with five different brands, each brand will design an Adidas original. One of the collaborators is the Japanese brand called Porter.

Porter are well known in Asia for making different types of luggage but for me their core-competence is their production of bags. They have taken the idea of their tanker-series bags which has been around since 1983 and applied this to the Adidas Nizza Hi's.
Parallel to the tanker-series bags Porter have applied flight satin, otherwise known as nylon to the kicks with an orange lining to fully replicate the image of the tanker-series. To further emphasise this collaboration Porter have included a fully functioning zip at the rear of the shoe. Both brands logo's can be found on the tounge as a sign of generosity, Porter have also included a free tote bag to accommodate these one aways!

They will cost you just under £100.

Best I Ever Had

Made In Ghana

This juice, no, drink is stupid. If anyone has had this, you might think too sweet. Nonsense. As soon as Kwesi Frimpong (my connect) and I are cool again, you might see me in a random rave with this. Just dont ask me for some.

Some people are onto Hennessy, Red Bull, and even Cough Syrup but my addiction is Muscatella.

Mr. Lacoste.

Forget the biography, just know that I have a love, obsession with Lacoste polos and that's enough. Even filtered to me wanting cardies, boat shoes and my current perfume is Lacoste Essential. It's a lot I know.

Named after the tennis player, Rene Lacoste, who was nicknamed Alligator, a friend drew an embroidered crocodile on his tennis shirt back in 1926, and in 1933 they entered the fashion industry.

My collection stands at half of this display. No lie. Messed up my balance, ask Nat-West and didn't even buy all at full-price (U.S. holiday in '07).

To my knowledge Asos, have now added a Lacoste range..

Visit if you want.
