Fast Lane

The newest G.O.O.D. Music signee, Cyhi Da Prynce recently dropped a mixtape, Royal Flush, to announce his arrival to the mainstream. He has been popping up on a few of Kanye's G.O.O.D. Friday tracks, and also on the now famous BET cypher with all his labelmates. Before linking up with the house that 'Ye built, he has been signed to Def Jam since February. A raspy voice, nice flow and clever lyrics can describe this song 'Fast Lane'. The song has a laid back feel, and the hook is also nice. 

Should be seeing more of Cyhi in the new year.

A Weekend in Amsterdam

A couple of days ago, myself and Nate (Its The Leak) went on a Amsterdam weekender. We were staying out there with a good friend of ours, Dr Lemon. Aside from the cold weather, and the amount of dangers faced when crossing the road, Amsterdam for the most part was live. We went to one, two coffee shops, hit some cool shops like Patta and Acht, and went to the Ajax ArenA Football Musuem, that was a lot of stuff for me, because of my love for the beautiful game. Lookout for another Hey Nu Leak Euro trip, fees have to be examined and money needs to stack.  Sidenote-the trams/cars/bicycle/bus threat is not a joke and cyclists think they own the road out there.

UK streetwear brand Ichiban have just showcased their new AW 10 collection of crewnecks and T-shirts. The four designs are all available in the colours of black, grey, white and red. I personally am in favour of the Bonafide Hustler Design and the Marlboro inspired Increase Your Rep design.

G- Shock Sessions

Here is some cool footage, of the recent G-Shock Sessions, held at the G-Shock stone in Brick Lane. Acts such as S.A.S and Nu Brand were performing some of their new material. The video is black and white, and ask Matty I have to try really hard not to post every black and white video Creative Control, (sick State Side directors) release. Video was nicely shot by PHD-LDN.

PlayStation Game Runners - Blocks Public Open Day

The Game Runners event for the social game, BLOCKS, took place on the Friday just gone. The Public Open Day took place in Brick Lane, and both members of HNW were in attendance, Its The Leak also made a cameo appearance. Yours truly, failed miserably and went out in the first round. Dantz went through to the third round, one away from the final, so at least someone from the team repped.  By the time the competition rolled around, there was a healthy amount of people.

The game is about logic and slowly building your tower of blocks, it may look simple, but you had to make sure each side touching, matched the correct symbol. Well that's my excuse anyway.  The life sized blocks were used in the final round and added to the excitement.

The winner of the competition won a PlayStation 3 and a PlayStation Move motion controller. The event went well, and below are some pics of what went down. 

Black And Yellow

The first single of  Wiz Khalifa's debut album, due for release next year, has dropped. The song is cool and surprisingly he raps about things other than weed on this one. Peep the vid. He recently signed to Atlantic,so hopefully there will be no label politics, because this guy has quite a large following.

Re-Introducing Miguel Jontell

You may recognise the name Miguel from his first single "All I Want Is You" which featured Roc Nations J. Cole. The song is a banger and was on heavy rotation on the laptop for a minute. Got to shout Tola who brought him to my attention couple years ago with two of his songs "Quickie" and "Be My Vixen", if you havent heard them YouTube them ASAP!

The singer/songwriter/producer's (yeah he does it all) album also titled "All I Want Is You" is slated for release  in Febuary in 2011. Before I leave you peep these two tracks I just came across sorry if you've heard them already.

I hope his album doesn't get pushed back, I fully believe he will deliver a great LP, that's enough from me, until till next time.

PlayStation Game Runners Public Open Day

Just recently, I had informed you all about the Games Runners event, with some background info and what have you. Now I can let you know about the Public Open Day, which happens on Friday 8th October and will be held at Ely's Yard, The Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, E1. The event is sure to be a lot of stuff, not only will there be a free tournament for members of the public to try their hands at BLOCKS but also a live paint session. The Hey Nu World Boys will be in attendance and the festivities start at 12pm and are due to finish at 8.30pm.

Voicemail Season Again - Fifa VS Pro

Okay today, the excited folk are buying Fifa and already writing off Pro, these fools never learn, in four weeks they will no longer be in love with Fifa and its great cosmetic features. You see, Fifa is like a pretty girlfriend, that hooks you in with her looks, but doesnt do nothing, after a while you will be bored. Sure there a lot of nice accessories to play with, but its not long before you realise, she is not for you.

Pro is a decent looker, but is like a ride or die chick, who doesn't do everything to please but ultimatley knows what you want and what will make you push your buttons. Better gameplay, a new online Master League feature and an revamped Become A Legend mode, I will be foaming at the mouth on the 8th of October, the same day as other real football fans.
